We set out to supersede a 3-year rum that makes a hell of a Daiquiri but can’t be sold in the U.S. We blind-tasted bartenders on similar rums for almost two years. They wanted two key differences from that embargoed rum: more funk and a higher proof. We ended up with what will be the golden standard for a Daiquiri rum: El Ron Pa’l Daiquirí.
